I added this image to my elevator pitch because, it shows what I am pursuing as a career.
It shows what I'm working towards, and what I'm hoping to become which is a lawyer.

The artistic perspective of this image:
Line: the way I placed the words on the same slide as this image make it so that your eyes just fall onto this image. The image itself doesn't drive your eyes anywhere else on the page, its very centered.
Color: The image has neutral colors and its easy on the eyes, my whole presentation follows the pattern of dark, and neutral colors for a more serious tone.
Texture: The side of the book seems to be so smooth and you can see that by the way the light reflects towards the bottom of it. With the way the pages were captured you can see how compact the book is.
Shape: The way the book is tilted, and the way they captured the image of looking from the bottom towards the top it makes middle part stand out more. It makes the image look 3D.
Light/Shadow: The light seems to be coming from the bottom left only, making the bottom left side of the image illuminate, and making the top seem darker. It makes the colors contrasts well.
Design/Layout: This category kind of falls under shape. The image was captured from a low angle emphasizing the 3D effect. It makes your eyes start from the word "LAW" and move up to the items on top of the book.
Style: The image seems very precise and neat. Setting a very serious tone to the picture.
Medium: The image looks like it was a photography piece rather than an illustration.

This graphic was included in my elevator pitch for its proclivity to provoke thought, not for aesthetic beauty or symmetrical appeal. Overall, the image is a visual representation of the phrase “lead from the front”. Artistically, the arrow is not made of line-work or brushstrokes, rather a collection of 3-D rendered humans make it up. Clashing the predominant grey-character filled arrow is a contrasting red person standing at the tip of the arrow. As the lone figure in the foreground stands, shadows are cast behind. Yet, the arrow points inward as the viewer sees it- not outward. Although the pic was ultimately created by a software program, it should be recognized that somewhere along the way an artist spent an awful lot of time placing all the shadows in there for effect.

I choose this image from my elevator pitch because I love music. I believe music is a great way of communication  because you can express yourself in a way that is different if you were just communicating. The instrument in this image is a guitar. The color in this image is special because there is a wood on the background that gives the picture a dark shadow texture to it: the light from the top focuses on the guitar making it look unique. I like how the guitar is not straight but is slanted giving that unique look/design. I usually put my guitar straight because I do not want the tip to support the weight of the guitar where it could cause problems. I enjoy playing guitar in my free time.

Cryogenics

The image I chose to expound upon is a picture of a liquid nitrogen container.

Source: Cryogenic Container

I like this image because it gives a sense of mystery.  People have seen liquid nitrogen in movies and are familiar with dry ice, but it's still strange.  How can something like nitrogen, which is usually an invisible gas, be a liquid and why is it bubbling and giving off steam or smoke?

Liquid nitrogen is around -270 degrees Farenheit, so when it is exposed to air, it boils and gives off a kind of smoke.  Usually when we think of boiling, we think of something hot, but this is far from hot.  It's so cold that it will freeze anything it comes in contact with.  However, much like boiling water that gives off steam, boiling nitrogen gives off a visible vapor.

The wispy smoke gives you a nice sense of flow but the blue tint and white/silver container make you instantly think of coldness.  You know it's cold without even having to be there.

I'd like this picture because it is the second one I show and gives people a sense of who I am.  Like people's misconceptions of liquid nitrogen (whatever it touches, it turns brittle; it's explosive; etc) maybe people's ideas about me are wrong.  I'm pretty funny, but you'd never get that from me right away.  My cold exterior belies my warm, funny personality that I display in private.  I think this picture is good for what follows when I describe where my career went from there.
